Identify Problem

The founder noticed several issues faced by friends working as local guides in Japan who rely on social media to get clients:

Low communication efficiency:

Clients chat for a long time without placing an order.

Low conversion rate:

Many chats end without a booking, making planning difficult.

High risk of cancellations:

Most deals are verbal; clients often cancel

last minute.

Difficult to handle time extensions:

Clients ask to extend tours on the spot

without a clear system for extra charges.

Design Goal

  • Streamline booking: Make it easier for clients to confirm orders quickly.

  • Increase conversion: Guide users toward actual bookings instead of endless chatting.

  • Reduce no-shows: Provide a formal order system to prevent verbal-only deals.

  • Support time extensions: Allow guides to manage extra time with clear pricing rules.

Solution

Smart matching: Tourists can filter guides by date, location, language, and MBTI. The system recommends compatible personalities for better communication.

Message limit: Max 3 messages before the guide replies, to reduce spam.

Check-in rule: Both must confirm the start within 10 minutes, or face a penalty.

Extend button: Add extra time to bookings with one click.

Paid chat: Guides can lock messages behind a paywall to save time.
